PART-TIME ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CUSTODIAN 

Position Title: Part- Time Custodian

Reports to: Director of Operations and Security 

 

Position Summary 

We are seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Part-Time Elementary Custodian to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming learning environment for our students and staff. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a school community. 

 

Responsibilities 

• Clean and sanitize classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust assigned areas
• Empty trash and recycling containers
• Restock restroom supplies
• Set up and take down tables and chairs for school events as needed 
• perform routine building security checks and lock doors at the end of the shift
• Report on maintenance or safety concerns to the supervisor 
• Assist with seasonal cleaning and other custodial duties as assigned 

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred 
• Previous custodial or cleaning experience is helpful but not required 
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and reliability
• Ability to lift to 50 pounds and perform physical task including bending, standing, and walking for extended periods 
• must successfully pass required fingerprinting process
